High Court Lifts Ban On Appointment Of 26,000 Candidates To Teacher Posts In Jharkhand

The Way Has Been Cleared For The Appointment Of 26,000 Candidates To The Posts Of Teachers In Jharkhand. The High Court On Thursday Lifted The Ban On The Appointment Process Of Assistant Teachers In The State. The Court Of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra And Justice Anand Sen Was Hearing The Petition Of A Man Named Bahadur Mahato, Who Had Challenged The Appointment Process Of Assistant Teachers. However, The High Court Also Ordered the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (Jssc) To Keep 100 Seats Vacant.

Bahadur Mahato Has Filed The Case Challenging The State Government’s Move In Which Only Para Teachers Were Given The Benefit Of Reservation. Their Argument Is That The Government Has Given 50 Percent Reservation To Para Teachers In The Appointment Of Assistant Teachers, Whereas No Benefit Of Reservation Has Been Given To The Block Resource Persons And Cluster Resource Persons Working In The Education Department.

Mahato Also Argued In The Petition That The Assistant Teacher Appointment Rules Made By The Commission In 2023 Will Deprive The Education Department Employees Appointed On Contract And Will Cause Huge Bias. The Government Had Made A Comprehensive Plan To Appoint 26,000 Assistant Teachers.

A Total Of 12,888 Assistant Teachers Will Be Appointed From Para Teachers While 13,133 Posts Of Assistant Teachers Will Be Filled From Non-Para Teacher Category. Assistant Teachers Are To Be Appointed For Classes 1 To 5 And Classes 6 To 8. Earlier, While Hearing The Petition On September 5, The High Court Had Put A Stay On The Appointment Process.

While Hearing The Petition On Thursday, The Lawyers Of The State Government And The Commission Informed The Bench That The Stay Order Will Delay The Appointment Process And The Candidates Will Be Deprived Of Their Appointment. After This, The High Court On Thursday Removed The Ban Imposed On The Appointment Process Of Assistant Teachers. This Paved The Way For The Appointment Of 26,000 Candidates In The State.
