NMC Made Major Changes In Neet 2024 Syllabus, 18 Chapters Removed

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has made major changes in the syllabus of NEET UG for the year 2024. NMC has removed 18 chapters from UG. Students can check the new syllabus of NEET UG 2024 by visiting the official website of NMC, nmc.org.in. Giving information about this, NMC has said that NEET UG Syllabus 2024 has been uploaded on the website. The syllabus includes many chapters of 11th and 12th PCB i.e. (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). Now questions will be asked from a total of 79 chapters under PCB.

It is not right to remove important chapters

According to Hindustan Live, medical examination expert Vipin Singh said that this change has been adopted as per the new NCERT books. Most of the changes are good but it did not seem right to remove important chapters like Digestion and Absorption, Reproduction in Organism, Tissue and Environmental Issues from the Medical Science Entrance Examination.

These are the removed topics

He further said that according to this change, from Chemistry, States of Matter, Solid State, S Block Elements, Hydrogen, Metallurgy, Environmental Chemistry, Mineral Nutrition, Polymer, Chemistry in Everyday Life and from Biology, Transport in Plants, Plant Growth and Development. Many topics have been removed from other chapters of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with some chapters of Se (Vernalization and Photoperiodism), Reproduction in Organisms, Digestion and Absorption, and Ecology. On the other hand, topics of some new chapters have also been included.

Every year so many lakhs of students appear for the examination.

Every year more than 15 lakh students appear for the NEET exam. It is one of the toughest examinations conducted in the country. NEET UG examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission in the medical sector (MBBS/BDS/AYUSH syllabus/Veterinary).
